Folanx® CARBO Products - Naturally-based secondary and micronutrient solutions
Folanx® CARBO products contain plant nutrients in water-soluble form. The water solubility is achieved by complexing the nutrients with natural carboxylic acids.
What are carboxylic acids?
Carboxylic acids occur in plants in a wide range of forms. Examples of carboxylic acids include formic acid, malic acid, butyric acid, tartaric acid, citric acid and acetic acid.
Carboxylic acids contain carboxyl groups (-COOH) in their molecules, which on account of their negative charge can bond with positively charged nutrient ions such as _boron, _calcium, _potassium, _magnesium, _iron, copper, _manganese, molybdenum and _zinc in water-soluble form.
Carboxylic acids with a low molecular weight are used because they are almost totally soluble in water.
